The La Grange Park Business Association

The La Grange Park Business Association is a group of local business owners and leaders who meet monthly to discuss issues relevant to doing business in the village. We look for ways to improve and promote our businesses as well as the overall business climate in La Grange Park. The association is actively involved in the community, supporting LaGrange Park events such as the Rose Show and the Concerts in the Park.  The Association sponsors and organizes "Holiday in the Park", our popular LaGrange Park holiday event.

The LPBA will be holding an after hours on Thursday February 18 from 5:30 to 7pm.  Our host that evening will be Phillips Flowers, 515 North LaGrange Road.  Bring your business cards and join us for an evening of refreshments, good fellowship, and a chance to meet your fellow community business people.

The next association meeting will be held on Thursday January 28 at 8am at the Village Hall, which is located at 447 Catherine.   Roy Cripe, the Executive Director of the Community Park District of LaGrange Park, will be the speaker.

Thursday February 25  Village Manager Bo Proczko will speak about village happenings.

Thursday March 25 Police Chief Dan McCollum will be our speaker.

Holiday in the Park, sponsored by the LaGrange Park Business Association, was held on Saturday December 12  at the Community Park District of La Grange Park. Santa arrived on a fire truck and posed for photos with the many children of all ages who came to visit with him.  After their visits with Santa the kids had lots of fun making holiday crafts, decorating cookies, and playing bozo ball and bean bag games.  Outdoors was a petting zoo that was filled with llamas, ducks, goats, sheep, and lots of other cute animals. We also featured hayrides and a bonfire with s'mores.  The La Grange Park Fire Department performed an exciting fire safety demonstration, a controlled burning of a pine tree.

There was lots of fun for grownups too: music, refreshments and a free raffle with many prizes including three credit hours at Triton College, and lots more!  The grand prize, a stay at the beautiful Abbey Resort at Lake Geneva was won by a lucky local family.

Thanks to all of the community businesses and institutions that so generously donated their time and resources to making this a great event for all of LaGrange Park!!! 

Save the date for 2010 - Holiday in the Park will be held on Saturday December 11, 2010!

On Wednesday August 5 the LaGrange Park Business Association was the sponsor of the Park District of LaGrange Park's Concert in the Park.  Featured was "Mr. Blotto," also simply known by his friends as "Mike," who lives right here in La Grange Park. The band has a large following, which resulted in a packed house.  The first 500 attendees at the concert received a La Grange Park Business Association reusable grocery bag filled with goodies from local businesses.
